Starting 2026 Strong: MFH's First-Ever "Media Appearance"!

5 January 2026 – the first Monday of 2026 – and an unusual request landed in my inbox. Beverly Noronha, a writer at Bored Panda, reached out to me and asked if she could interview me by email.

Cue... the biggest "HELL YEAH" in my life!!!

She asked me to share some of my insights regarding the benefits of being bilingual or multilingual, and tips for people who want to become bilingual or multilingual.

Thus began an warm and engaging email exchange between me and Beverly over the course of two days...

It was AMAZING when I finally read the Bored Panda article titled “36 Satisfying Stories Of Rude Gossips Who Did Not Know Their Victims Spoke The Language” – and there it was, featuring yours truly and the Multilingual Family Hub!!!

From YouTube… to Bored Panda?!

What made this extra special is how it happened.

Beverly Noronha – one of the co-authors of the article – found me through my YouTube channel and reached out for an interview.

That alone felt like a little reminder that you never quite know where putting your voice out there might lead.

The article brings together stories many multilingual people instantly recognise – those moments when someone assumes you don’t understand… and then realises you very much do. 🤣🤣🤣

If you’ve ever navigated life between languages (or you’re raising kids to do so), you’ll know exactly why these stories feel so satisfying.

Grateful, humbled, and quietly proud

I'm so grateful for this opportunity to share my real experiences growing up with multiple languages and now raising children in three languages – and seeing these insights resonate beyond this little corner of the internet is just so incredible.

I’m incredibly grateful to Beverly for the opportunity, and I’d love for this to be the start of more collaborations down the line.
